NSW: Blood on clothes links man to police death, court told

SYDNEY, Jan 12 AAP - New scientific evidence linked a man to a slain policeman and a woman
colleague who went to the officer's aid while he was being stabbed, kicked and punched in a
hotel carpark, a court heard today.

Eshmail Orhaum Esha, 36, unemployed, of Kenyon Street at Fairfield in Sydney's southwest,
was refused bail when he appeared in Fairfield Local Court late this afternoon, charged with
the murder of 25-year-old Constable David Carty on April 18, 1997.
