FED: Australian Ambassador visits Care workers in Belgrade
CANBERRA, April 20 AAP - Australia was today finally allowed access to the two Care
Australia workers accused of spying by Yugoslavia.
Foreign Minister Alexander Downer confirmed Australian Ambassador Chris Lamb had been
allowed to meet with Steve Pratt and Peter Wallace at the Ministry of Defence in Belgrade.
"Both are reported to be in good shape and adequately fed," Mr Downer said in a statement.
Mr Lamb was able to pass personal messages to the two Australians from their families and
is hopeful of further consular access in the near future.
